Hi! I am a PhD Candidate in Accounting at The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and I am on the 2024-2025 job market.
My research examines the role of accounting information and disclosure in facilitating capital raising and mergers and acquisitions (M&A), especially in markets with high information asymmetry. Since U.S. private firms are relatively opaque due to their lack of mandatory disclosure, investors face high information asymmetry in the private capital markets, making them an ideal setting for my research. In line with this research agenda, my job market paper examines whether and when information from publicly traded peers can lower private firms’ cost of capital in the private equity and venture capital markets.
Previously, I worked at KPMG in both their audit and M&A advisory practices. I earned both my Bachelor of Business Administration degree and Master of Accounting degree at The College of William and Mary. I am a licensed CPA (active) in the state of Virginia. In my spare time, I enjoy Orangetheory and volunteering with organizations that train dogs to be service animals.
